The game cinematic started with Geralt fighting with a monster called Striga with some narrative behind him. From the cut scenes, you will also notice that some of the character posture look kinda awkward. What’s funny is, even when the situation was quite panicky, the character seems like still casually chat there. The conversation cut scenes will show 2 character speaking and they usually have the general scene where the character takes turn speaking. However, the conversation cut scenes might make you cringe sometimes. From time to time, you will have some cut scenes in the game. Also, some of the magic, especially Axii is barely noticeable if you have cast it successfully or not.The graphical problem for this Signs was that you are not sure if it will hit where you aim for the Sign. The player will be given 5 Sign(Magic) that you can use which is Aard, Igni, Quen, Yrden, and Axii. The attack animation does look cool and better once you start leveling the Sword Style. However, with the graphic of Witcher 1, it seems like the hit does not connect. The player was given 3 type of attack style which is the Strong Style, Fast Style, and Group Style.Let me try to list down what my concern was. However, I feel there are quite a lot of downside for this game in the graphic aspect. I did not play the old version one but this guide will be based on the Enhanced Edition.įor a 2008 game, the graphic is consider good and almost approaching open-world. It was first released on 26th October 2007 and the Enhanced Edition was released on 16th September 2008 where they have 200 new animations, addtional NPC models and recoloring of generic NPC models as well as monsters, vastly espanded and corrected dialogues in translated versions, improved stability, redesigned inventory system and load times reduced by roughly 80%. Some of the dialogues in Witcher 2 will reflect some of your decision in Witcher 1 which I find it very impressive. I found out that you can import the save data that you have in Withcer 1 to Witcher 2 if you save it at the near end of the game. I’ve recently started playing Witcher 2, and was figuring out how they planned to continue the story of Witcher 1 as your choices in Witcher 1 might affect some of the story scene. This is a game where there is no wrong or right answer, only your decision matters. It’s easier for the player to choose what you will do if you are in Geralt shoe instead of looking for guide on the correct pick. You will be given certain choices in the game such as “Kill the witch” or “Spare the witch” and any decisions you made will have an effect on the storyline. He is also considered as a legendary Witcher but whether famous or infamous is for the player to determine.Ĭoming to that, the story aspect of The Witcher is that based on the player “moral choices”. It was based in a medieval fantasy world that follows the story of Geralt, one a few remaining Witchers – someone who undergone extensive training, ruthless mental and physical conditioning, and mysterious rituls in preparation for becoming a monster-slayer for hire. Never read the books, can’t comment much on it if it’s related to the game or not).
It was based on the book series of the same name by a Polish author named Andzrej Sapkowski (in case you’re interested in the books. The Witcher is an action role playing hack and slash game developed by CD Projekt RED and published by Atari. Hoping that the game is sold on Steam, I found it and begin playing it and just finished the game after 5 months of playing it. However, I hate to jump midway of a series and unable to understand what is the story of the game, I will have to start with Witcher 1 first. I’ve seen the trailer for Witcher 3 and it looks amazing.
Not sure I was not aware or it’ because I don’t usually bother PC games until recently. I’ve never heard of a game name Witcher before the anticipated release of this game. This year, one of the most anticipated game has been released and it was Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
